The Yoga of Eating
The Buddhist Practice of Transforming Enjoyment
with Joseph Giacona
Saturday, February 28, 11:00am - 12:30pm + Q&A
$15 per class, free for supporting members
Buddha gave extensive teachings on how to transform everyday activities – such as eating, sleeping, working, and relaxing – into profound spiritual paths. By doing so, we learn how to extract deep meaning from every moment of our precious human lives.
In this Saturday course, we will explore the practice of transforming enjoyment in general, and the yoga of eating and drinking in particular. In this context, “yoga” refers to the skillful use of body, speech, and mind in daily action.
When we combine ordinary activities – especially the enjoyment we experience from food – with wisdom, they become powerful practices that steadily guide us toward greater happiness and enlightenment. Everyone welcome!
