Learn the Fundamentals of Buddhist Meditation

Many people who start coming to our Center do so because they want to become better meditators. Meditation is for everyone and anyone can do it right here, right now. But enjoying a five-minute meditation every now and then and committing to a daily practice to train our minds are two very different things. The latter requires a firm foundation and the development of wisdom views that will give us what we need to sustain our practice over the long haul. Without this foundation and these views, it’s difficult to commit to sit every day, and eventually gain mastery of our minds.

If you want to strengthen your meditation foundation, join us for our Saturday course where we’ll share the views and methods we rely on to power our practice throughout our lives.

In Part I of the course you will learn the fundamentals of Buddhist view and how they apply to meditation, ie training the mind. Applying these methods in your everyday life will lead to happiness and a sense of purpose and harmony in your relationships.

In Part II of the course you will learn the basics of meditation, from why we would want to meditate to the “technical” matters of how to do it.
