Anxiety can sometimes feel pervasive and overwhelming. When it appears we try to distract ourselves, only to have those worries return, leading us to believe that anxiety is just a permanent part of our life. It’s not.
With Buddhist meditation we come to understand the true causes of our anxieties and we begin to establish a peaceful place in our mind, a place of inner refuge. Gaining this experience will help us lessen the intensity of our anxiety, and give us confidence to eventually eliminate it from our life, even when surrounded by challenging situations. Who wouldn’t want that.
